Depth Checkout Dives at Lake Phoenix

Complete your depth requirements with supervised open water sessions at Lake Phoenix. These dives are for students who have already fulfilled their academic and pool (Lap) training and are ready to demonstrate their skills in a real-world environment.

Location: Lake Phoenix, Rawlings, VA
Start Time: 10:00 AM — meet lakeside, ready to dive

To Participate
You must have:

  • Completed the corresponding Molchanovs academic + pool requirements (Lap 1, 2, or 3)

  • Brought your own personal freediving gear:
    Mask, fins, wetsuit, weight belt, and appropriate weights
    (Weights can be rented from the quarry if needed)

  • Signed both the Blue Alchemy Freediving Waiver and the Lake Phoenix Waiver

  • Paid the Lake Phoenix entry fee upon arrival

These sessions focus on applying your freediving knowledge safely and confidently in open water. Expect a steady pace, time for integration, and focused guidance throughout your dives.
